Candlelight vigil held at Dolly Parton mural
On Friday, Aug. 28, community members quietly gathered at the Dolly Parton mural, located on the side wall of Bone Daddyz Music Loung at West 19th Street and Pomona Avenue. They held a candlelight vigil as a tribute to country music icon Dolly Parton, who passed away on August 25.

The Dolly Parton mural was painted by artist David Gilmore in March 2021. It was commissioned by Bone Daddyz club owner Luke Nero to honor frontline healthcare workers and Parton’s humanitarian work.
