Costa Mesa seeks lifeguards, aquatic instructors for Downtown Aquatic Center

Costa Mesa is hiring seasonal and year-round aquatic staff for its Downtown Aquatic Center, with openings for instructor lifeguards and senior lifeguards.

Instructor lifeguards will earn $20 to $24.31 per hour and will be responsible for emergency response, enforcing pool rules, customer service and teaching aquatic classes.

Senior lifeguards will earn $23 to $27.96 per hour. The position includes overseeing daily pool operations, supervising programs and helping recruit, train and evaluate staff.

The city may provide American Red Cross certifications to qualified applicants who are not already lifeguard certified.
